Come Back To Me At Christmas by Keriann McKenna

Today we have a special Christmas story, Come Back To Me At Christmas by Keriann McKenna. I am so excited for this one, I love a good Christmas story.

Blurb:

Patty misses her husband dearly and dreams of him coming home for Christmas. When she shares her dream with her children, they become increasingly worried as Patty goes between present day and her cherished memories.

Her children gather to decide how to help her handle the disappointment and comfort her when he doesn't show up. After all, it was only a dream.

Convinced she was losing her grip on reality and shouldn't live alone any longer, they decide to wait until after the holidays before making any major changes in her life.

But Christmas Day brings a shocking surprise—to everyone but Patty. This is a heartwarming, funny, and touching story that will have you believing in miracles.

Excerpt:

Her frail fingers traced the lines in the bark and she remembered thebeautiful spring day Michael came home from work early.

Michael rushed into the kitchen and grabbed her hand.  Hurrying her out of the house and down the path to the tree, he lifted her, sat her in the crook of it.  He smiled up at her. His boots kicked the dirt under his feet, his hands sunk into his pockets, and he clearly was struggling to find the right words to say to her.

“I don’t tell you near enough how much I love you.”

“I love you too,” she answered, wondering where this conversation was

“No, I love you more than I ever believed I could love anyone.  I love our family and this farm.  Of all the places I’ve been in my life, I finally feel like I’m home.  Darlin’, I just want you to know I’ve never been happy with my life until now...until you.  Come here.”

He reached up and lifted her down into his arms.  The kiss...it came from his soul and she knew it.  It was like no other and one she would never forget.  There were no words to describe it; it spoke without words—from his heart and his soul—and anyone who had ever been kissed that way would know exactly what she was talking about.

The tree had grown and the bark was rough, sort of like Michael.  Not in a bad way.  He was always gentle with her and the children, but he was not a man to be messed with.  He wasn’t tall, but his muscular body was evident even through his clothes.  His smile and his laugh would light up a room.  He and he alone lit up Patty’s heart.  He was truly the love of her life.

The Protagonist by Bella Bryce

 The Protagonist

Daisy Abbott is an author as eccentric as she is successful. She's also used to a certain rhythm when it comes to her writing: she sits at her desk, the hero speaks, she writes. Book done. After all, that's how she wrote thirty titles and she doesn't expect anything to be different during the working of her thirtyfirst manuscript. Daisy is convinced the protagonist of her newest book isn’t speaking to her and when he appears in the flesh to challenge her, she is transported to his time and place to better understand things from his perspective. The question is, whose story is it?

Bella Bryce

I am a British writer of niche market fiction in the domestic discipline genre. My first duty is to write a compelling story with strong characterisation and dialogue that makes you feel involved. It just so happens that all of these elements are in a genre that is otherwise on the underside of the internet and is given very little credit for its literary merit.

Excerpt:

Daisy watched William retreat down the path toward the tent and took his instructions as permission to hide behind the rose bushes, and also to accept the Champagne offered to her by royal servants floating about the gardens. From where she stood, Daisy could see everyone but she was certain not everyone could see her. She watched William bow to the King and Queen and then offer another bow to Georgina. For someone who seemed so sure of his love for the girl, he certainly hid it well. Georgina didn’t even blush when she looked at him. She was on her second. Champagne and prepared to stash the flutes at the base of the shrubbery when a royal

servant with a tray appeared beside her, again. She didn’t jump or seem surprised even as his presence caught her offguard. The alcohol had already begun to seep into her reflexes.

“Oh, it’s you.” She looked at the tray he was holding with a further ten flutes of Champagne but when she saw the servant looking at the ones she’d stashed in the bushes, Daisy slowly lowered herself in the large gown and collected the flutes before depositing them on the tray. The servant cleared his throat and promptly turned like a toy soldier and marched away. Daisy watched the royal servant ascend a set of stone stairs nearby leading to a side entrance into the palace. She raised her eyebrows. “Guess who will have the most accurate description of a palace in modern writing? This girl.”

Before Daisy could abandon the wall of rose bushes, but the sight of William approaching caused her to stay put and pretend to be inspecting them carefully. She assumed he wouldn’t approve of her following the servant into the palace. She narrowed her eyes when William got nearer but a hiccup gave her away.

“I see.”

Daisy suddenly abandoned the practice of being interested in the roses. “You left me unattended.”

William put his hands behind his back. “I was doing my duty by greeting the King and Queen. I will soon need to speak to others in my father’s absence.”

“Do I have to stay on your arm and fan my face?”

“No. You need to observe. We will go over it all this evening after you’ve written it out.”

“What with?”

“Parchment and ink. There is no fire wall here.”

Daisy knew he was referring to electricity and was even a little impressed he had the right words and intention, even though the idea wasn’t quite correct.

“So you want me to spy?”

William stepped closer. “You must stop using questionable terms, Daisy.”

“Questionable?”

“Unless you have already forgotten the year, you will keep words like Georgina, spy, my flat last night and questions like may I remove my bonnet? out of conversation, especially in public. It is not appropriate.”

Maiden Series: Palace Secrets Book Two by Ravyn Rayne

Today we welcome back Ravyn Rayne with the MaidenSeries: Palace Secrets Book Two

Blurb:

It was supposed to be a simple trip to the market in Paris.

Nothing for Lady Hannah is ever simple.

One secret after another.

The lies are mounting up.

Lady Hannah has made a deal with the devil. Worse she’s falling in love with him. There’s no turning back.

A steamy medieval romance filled with spankings and erotic pleasures.

Excerpt:

“How about I ask you one question, anything and you have to answer it honestly. Then, I’ll do the same.”

My eyes move from the night sky to Lucas. There’s no way I’d go first. After I divulge whatever secret he wants information to, he’d clam up. “Only if you go first.” I’m not even sure I like the idea of such a game. What if he asks me something I truly shouldn’t answer? Like my relationship with Ella must be kept a secret. I barely know Lucas, and I do not wish to end up convicted of treason.

“What, you don’t trust me?” he asks, resting a hand over his heart.

“Yeah, that’s right. You want to blackmail me over Annette’s arrival at court. I think I have enough reason not to trust you.”

Murder, secrets, and lies combine with menage, spanking, and erotic encounters in this steamy medieval romance.

A Character Interview with Hannah

Do you ever feel jealous of the queen, your former mistress and friend?

She’s still very much my friend. Sometimes late at night I’m jealous of the romance between Ella and Alexander, but I’ve come to accept my position at court. As for Ella being queen, that’s a job I would never want.

How hard is it for you to keep a secret?

Lies mounting up will get you caught. The goal is to weave a tale of truths into the secret so that you remember every detail. There are times I wish I didn’t have to keep secrets, but my life and those I love depend on it. I know how to keep my mouth shut. It’s not easy but I’m careful.

You travel to Paris quite a bit. Do you like it there?

It’s absolutely beautiful. There’s a wealth of silk, jewels, and other fine goods at the market that I can’t easily get

What do you think about the men in Paris?

I avoid most of them as best I can. If I brought a gentleman back to the palace, Ella or Alexander would likely have my head.

The Hand of Vengeance by Renee Rose

As you might have guessed, today we are hosting 'The Hand of Vengeance' by Renee Rose.

Blurb:

On a humanitarian mission to the war-torn planet Jesel, Dr. Lara Simmons is used to dealing with lack of supplies, power outages and the constant earthquakes that afflict the planet. But when she's captured by the rebels who need her to perform a life-saving surgery, she finds herself in a situation her medical training didn't prepare her for.

When the airship is blown out of the sky, she ends up in the Jeselian wilderness with no one to rely on but Blade Vengeance, an enormous tattooed rebel warrior. Dominant and unyielding, he doesn't hesitate to take her in hand when she disobeys the rules he lays out for her. Yet she soon learns he also knows how to deliver pleasure--with a passion she's never before experienced.

Blade finds the doctor from Earth sexy as hell, especially when she's giving him attitude, but once he delivers her to headquarters, he tries to pull back from her allure. Known for single-handedly starting the revolution and freeing many of his people, his life is one of hardship, slavery and war. Going soft on a woman isn't part of his plan, especially with the final strike of the revolution so close. But when he sends Lara back to Earth to keep her safe during the upcoming battle, he inadvertently delivers her into enemy hands. Can he find and save her from the revolution he caused?

Publishers Note: This story contains spanking and explicit sex scenes, including anal penetration. If such subject matter offends, do not buy this book.

Excerpt:

She suffered from Stockholm syndrome. That was the only explanation. Because Blade’s muscled arm heavily draped across her waist should not have her feeling so safe and...dear lord—did she actually feel snugly?

She barely remembered the first and only time she’d slept with a man. Not since her first year of higher education, when she’d been only eighteen, determined to try out this thing called sex. It had been horrible. Awkward and painful and followed by a long night of trying not to move with another person’s limbs flung over her.

She probably hadn’t slept any better last night, but she’d been warm, and actually felt protected and safe. She still wore Blade’s jacket and hat, and the memory of him dressing her in them made something warm and gooey move behind her sternum. When was the last time anyone had taken care of her needs? Well, sure—her staff did. They’d do anything she asked, and they looked out for her, too, bringing her food or hot tea when she forgot to take care of herself. But not a man. Not like this. She realized Blade was acting the part of the Jeselian gender archetype—man as protector. And authority. She squeezed her cheeks together, at the memory of his discipline. No residual pain. Her movement caused an answering stirring from Blade—his cock twitching against her buttocks.

She froze.

In a flash, he rolled away and stood up, towering above her. His coal-black gaze pinned her to the ground where she lay helpless to move. Something about the sight of him—the enormous, dominant size, the gorgeous ripple of muscle, the shocking markings on his face made her limbs go weak. She literally couldn’t make herself swallow, much less speak.

THE WAYS OF THE WEST – By Kelly Dawson

THE WAYS OF THE WEST – By Kelly Dawson

Today on my blog, we will be focusing on Kelly Dawson's book, The Ways of the West.

Blurb:

Orphaned by an attack on her family’s wagon train, Jessica finds herself stranded a thousandmiles from Boston, the only home she has ever known. Only one man—a rough, dusty cowboy named Johnny—stands between her and the perils of the west, and he quickly makes it clear that he is ready to do whatever needs to be done to keep Jessica safe, whether she likes it or not.

When the unlikely pair stumble upon a cattle drive and they are both offered employment, Johnny doesn’t hesitate to accept. But after Jessica loudly expresses her disdain for his plan and for cowboys in general, Johnny decides it is time for drastic action. After a hard, embarrassing spanking followed by a tearful apology to the trail boss, Jessica is left with a sore backside and a strange yet undeniably powerful need to be held close and comforted by her handsome protector.

With Johnny by her side—and claiming an ever bigger place in her heart with each passing day—Jessica begins to adjust to life on the trail. But a cattle drive is a dangerous place for anyone, let alone a city girl with a penchant for disobedience. If he ever wants the chance to make Jessica his wife, Johnny knows he’s going to have to take her firmly in hand before she gets herself hurt or killed. Even if it means a painful, humiliating bare-bottom strapping she’ll never forget, one way or another he’ll teach her the ways of the west.

Publisher’s Note: The Ways of the West is an erotic romance novel that contains sexual scenes and spankings, including domestic discipline in a historical setting. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Excerpt:

Jessica was enjoying watching the shocked, but delighted, expression on Johnny’s face as she stepped out of the borrowed dress to reveal short, sexy drawers that had been the height of fashion back home in Boston, but which were still considered scandalous among decent company. She left the gown and petticoats in a puddle on the floor at her feet and shimmied out of her undergarments, standing completely naked before him in the dim glow cast by the lantern on the table by the bed. She’d never been naked in front of a man before but the excitement of the wedding was making her brave.

Johnny whistled softly through his teeth, stepping forward to place his hands gently on her waist, drawing her into him. “You are beautiful,” he whispered into her hair.

Jessica’s hands went to the front of Johnny’s pants where she urgently fumbled with the buttons with clumsy fingers. She wanted him naked, too. Groaning in frustration at the tight buttons that wouldn’t come undone, she moved her fingers to his chest, undoing his shirt instead. These buttons opened easily and she trailed her fingers inside his shirt, along the hard muscles of his chest. Pushing the shirt back off his shoulders she brushed her lips against the light smattering of hair she found there, pulling his shirt off completely and discarding it carelessly on top of her own pile of clothing.

“Here, let me,” Johnny murmured, brushing her hands away from his jeans, undoing them for her. She gasped when his erection sprang free, then reached out to touch it gingerly.

“It’s so big,” she breathed. “Are you sure it will fit?”

The Sapphire Sacrifice (Gem Apocalypse Book 3) by Ravyn Rayne

Today we will be hosting Ravyn Rayne and her book The Sapphire Sacrifice (Gem Apocalypse Book 3)

Blurb:

A virus designed to murder Sapphire’s.

No one from Brayleigh saw it coming. Neither James nor Aria expected four men in a deserted city to attack. Thrown into the back of a van, James is captured by claimers – men that hunt Sapphire’s and bring them into quarantine, where they must settle their debt for treatment. Those that can’t pay off their debt are held in the broker’s quarters until they’re bought by angels, often resulting in slavery, hunting humans, and a host of other horrendous atrocities.

Aria is different. She’s naturally immune, or so she’s told. On a mission to rescue James, she finds herself in danger and quickly learns the power of friendship, commitment, and undying love.

With a taste of age play, spanking, and a master/slave relationship with voyeurism, this dystopian erotic adventure is sure to leave you satisfied.

Here's a little excerpt for you:

The alarm that had been deafening silenced, and the lights flickered back on.

"Leave, Aria." His voice stern and filled with warning. He didn't sound like himself.

She wouldn't listen to him. She couldn't. Did he not realize how much he meant to her?

"I have a gun," Aria whispered, staring at James. It was her last shred of hope.

James stopped pacing and walked straight up to the glass, staring at her with dark blueeyes. "Shoot me."

Aria's eyes widened. "No! I won't do it."

And now a little Q&A:

Five Questions with James (a character interview for The Gem Apocalypse series)

Of all the places you’ve lived, what is your favorite?

That’s a tough question to answer. I loved Brayleigh, before the uprising. I know it wasn’t a perfect society, but I was happy. It will always be my home as I have fond memories of my childhood growing up at the royal palace.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Give me bacon! It’s hard to come by but I absolutely love it.

You’ve had you’re share of women at the royal harem. Any aside from Aria that you’ve loved?

I’ve loved all the women I’ve invited into my home. Who’s to say you can’t love everyone?

Do you prefer dominating or being dominated?

I love to spank Aria. So yes, I prefer to dominate my partner.

Would you ever let Aria spank you?

I wouldn’t bend over and let her spank me, but she can certainly try. I like to remain in

charge.

Grab the first book in the series and begin the adventure.

The Emerald Virgin (Gem Apocalypse Book 1)

After the war, King Gideon rose in power. A lust-filled and greedy king that believed in the power of slavery.

At eighteen, women were required to come before King Gideon and his four sons, to offer themselves as a courtesan. The princes took only those they found most attractive and alluring. The rest were returned to their homes with a brand on their wrist proving they had been through the process and rejected. Ignoring the ritual was punishable by death.

Aria Stone had been kept hidden from the princes and the ceremony, because she was an Emerald. At twenty-three, the royal guards storm her home, murder her mother, and drag her to court. She must face the four princes.

A dystopian erotic adventure.
