WIP it up Wednesday

Hello Wipsters!

It has been a while since I last posted! I do currently have two WIPs, both are still very rough and raw.

The first I'd like to share with you is the one I have sent to blushing, and am waiting for a word back. I'll let you know how that goes.

Savi entered back into the dining room with a piece of peach cobbler in a bowl for Eric.

“Careful, it’s hot,” she warned as she dropped his bowl onto the table. “Wouldn’t want you to burn yourself,” she uttered sarcastically.

Seeming oblivious to his wife's hostility Eric praised Savi’s hard work. “Wow, Savi this is amazing. Where did you get it from?”

“Eric Matthews, do you have any faith in your wife? I made that dessert along with the meal you just devoured. I worked long and hard to make you a nice dinner and you dare to ask me where I got it from?”

Savi stormed from the table, she wasn’t sure whether she was angry that Eric was questioning her or if she was angry with herself for the continued deception of her husband. The last thing she wanted to do was to lie to Eric, but at this time it seemed as though it was the easiest thing for her to do. Her white lies weren’t hurting anyone, Eric was coming home to a clean home, Savi had the time to learn to cook which were both a win win for Eric.

“Savannah come back here, ” Eric hollered after Savi.

His words stopped her right in her tracks. She took a breather in the hallway and attempted to clear her mind.

Savi, you need to cool your jets. Go back in there and enjoy him, enjoy your time together. He is your husband, not your enemy.

After a few moments of silence, Savi felt Eric wrap his arms around her waist. “I didn’t mean to upset you baby, I’m sorry” Eric whispered into her ear. He grabbed her by the hand and pulled her into the living room and onto his lap as he sat down on the couch.

Savi curled up onto his lap and buried her head into his chest, secretly tears fell from her eyes. The guilt was eating her inside, she felt as though there was no way out of this, her lies were spiraling out of control and there was now looking back now.

Eric pulled her in closer to him and plucked the pins out of Savi’s hair, letting her gorgeous locks fall free.

“I never meant to upset you”

Savi lifted her head and looked into her husband’s emerald eyes and gave him a big smile, grabbed his face and placed her plump lips upon his.  “I know, I just get overwhelmed sometimes. All of this is so new to me, I don’t know where or when to start or stop.”

“I know baby, I know.”

As she sat in his lap, she thought of ways to tell Eric the truth. But as each idea went through her head, she immediately dismissed it. The last thing she wanted was to be punished, and if she told Eric what she had been up to that is exactly what would happen.

and now on to the next WIP, this one is just a very small snippet as I am still working hard on this one.

Emmalyn was angry with herself that she wasn’t there in Charles’ time of need, she was angry that she was with Grant and his family instead of taking care of her own. The guilt that Emmalyn felt had begun to take a toll on her. She spent less time in the community now than she did when Charles was still alive. Church was her only outing, and there she felt as though all eyes were on her. She questioned whether the stares were pity or condemnation, she knew the talk around town.

Most days were spent laying down on her broken couch fanning herself, as she tried to stay out of the sweltering heat. She would catch up on the town gossip when Carla came to check on her. Emmalyn knew Carla wasn’t making sure she was okay, Carla was there to fulfill her needs, she needed to see what Emmalyn was up to so she could go and gossip about the town’s newest and youngest widow.

In the past Emmalyn was always a sight to be seen, dressed up in her shirtwaist dresses and high heel shoes, makeup done to perfection and not one hair out of place. But not now, Emmalyn would stay in her housecoat most of the time, if she were to dress she’d throw on some pants, an old flannel shirt, tying it in the front and then pull her hair up, adding a bandana to keep her hair from falling in her face. Charles was gone, dead, she had no one to care what she looked like, so why should she?

I hope you have enjoyed it!

Taming the Preacher's Daughter, who would play them in a book to TV movie??

I thought it would be fun to sit down and figure out who would play each of my characters in my book in a made for TV movie, its not long enough to be on the big screen so we will stick to Lifetime  :) . I have thought about this carefully and have picked each person mainly on their looks, a good actress/actor can play any part they are hired for.

Savi: I think that Scarlett Johansson would be the perfect Savi, with her blond hair and seductive looks. Savi is know for trying to get attention for provocative clothing, but then cleans up nicely too.

Eric has green eyes, he's fit and very good looking. He is however still the boy next door, for Eric I would choose Zack Efron. Yes his eyes are the wrong color, we'll just get him contacts :) and again yes, he had to be shirtless, he is a lifeguard after all. Don't worry he cleans up nicely too.

Josalyn has to be a darker skinned goddess, (she is Native American after all) yet the girl next door and the best person for that is none other then Jessica Alba, lets hope she can play young :)
Then there is Danny, Josalyn's boyfriend. He likes to party but still has a good head on his shoulders.
For Danny I pick Dave Franko.

Now we move onto Savi's Parents, Pastor Joshua and Sarah. Sarah would be played by none other then the marvelous Glene Close in her Stepford Wives get up and then for Joshua we would have the amazing Richard Gere. I know I'm dreaming big here, but hey, its my ideal characters :)

Last but not least, we have Bobby and Steph. Savi's older brother and sister in law. Bobby is a decade older then Savi, so for Bobby I have picked Vince Vaughn and for Steph, Jennifer Anniston, I was even able to get pictures of them together.

So, these are the actors I would pick to portray my characters. I hope for those of you who have read it, can see my vision. The book is placed in a real city, McClellanville South Carolina, so I would have it filmed here as well. Here are a couple pictures for you.

Last but not least, the Plantation that is talked about in Taming the Preachers Daughter

I hope you have had as much fun reading this, as I have preparing this for you.

and no I don't have permission to use any of these photos, I stole them all off the internet.

Please enjoy!

Savannah's Surrender By Lillyanna Rose

This is a new book by Lillyanna Rose. Savannah's Surrender is a story about a confused couple headed towards divorce, this book highlights their journey trough troubled times.

Savannah's Surrender is based on a true story. It tells a tale of a married couple, Hilton and Savannah Fields, who are enduring some marital discord.

Hilton walked out on Savannah over six months ago. After numerous attempts to resolve their issues on their own with little progress Hilton decided it was time to call it quits. He was convinced that Savannah was just too stubborn and she was never going to be willing to compromise on anything. It wasn’t what he wanted but he had tried everything to fix things, finally reaching his breaking point he told Savannah he was filing for a divorce.

Savannah was devastated. She wanted her husband back but she wasn't going to let him tell her how or what to do. She talks Hilton into trying Christian marriage counseling as a final attempt to save their crumbling marriage. Savannah’s confident that the pastor will show Hilton the error of his ways.

Hilton and Savannah are both shocked when Pastor James suggests that they adopt a Domestic Discipline lifestyle. He instructs Hilton to become the head of his household and recommends that he starts spanking Savannah’s bottom if she disobeys him or becomes disrespectful. Pastor James ensures the couple that Hilton taking charge of their marriage will quickly put an end to their discord.

Will Hilton spank Savannah? Can Domestic Discipline save their failing marriage?

I really enjoyed reading about Savannah and Hilton's journey. You could see and feel the love they had in this book from beginning to end. I loved Savannah, she was definitely my favorite, yes, I might be a little biased, but what a great name! She was feisty and stubborn, just the way I like my submissive partners, makes them more fun to read about. I think Lillyanna did a great job with this book, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Whats new??

It has definitely been a while since I last posted! I am so happy to be back in blog land, school is out for the summer and now I get all the time I need to be the creative me I love and enjoy. Things have changed a little since my last blog post, my next Savi book was supposed to be a compilation, well it's not, I changed my mind. But, I can do that right? Sure, I can :)

I have hopefully finished writing the second and most likely last Savi book. It's being edited, and beta'd now by a friend. Once all those edits are done, I'll submit it to blushing, I hope you're excited for it!!

On a similar note, I am working on another book that I can't give too much info on quite yet. Its a sweet romance novel based a couple decades back. I am sure enjoying writing it, I hope it gets to see the light of a Kindle screen someday.

Well, I have a review for a book to do that I will post shortly and then after that, I thought I'd do a fun post.

Thanks for reading!

WIP IT UP WEDNESDAY

For today's post I thought I'd veer away from posting about 'Taming the Preachers Daughter' and post something about an actual WIP. Please remember this is raw and unedited.

I am currently working on another book featuring Savi and some of the other characters from the previous book, it will be more like a compilation of short stories. The first short story is about Savi and Eric and the trials they face as newlywed couple. If you read 'Taming the Preachers Daughter' then you know that they didn't court very long and did not live together before the wedding.

Without further ado, I give you my first excerpt of this project.

As Eric stood in his living room looking at the trail of filth that followed Savi throughout the apartment, he could feel the anger and disappointment welling up in him. He couldn’t believe that someone could be okay with living this way. There were plates full of food on the coffee table, garbage sitting on the couch. Even a dog toy in the middle of the floor. They didn’t even own a dog, he couldn’t fathom why that would be in their apartment to begin with. Eric took a few deep breaths, pushed some garbage out of the walkway before he went looking for his wife.
Knowing she would be in her favorite place, he went directly there. Just like he assumed she would be, he found her soaking in a vanilla scented bubble bath. Watching her as she soaked in the old claw foot bathtub, bubbles covering everything but the tip of her knees and the top of her breasts. Her golden curls held in place with a pencil atop her a head and her nose deep into a romance novel, oblivious that Eric was watching her from the doorway.
Slowly he made his way into the bathroom, he sat along the edge of the tub and pushed the book down away from her face. Looking into his wife’s beautiful chocolate eyes, he placed a kiss upon her soft lips, inhaling her pheromones.
“Hey baby, why don’t you turn around? I’d like to wash your back” Instantly he could see that she was excited by the idea. A smile appeared across her face, as she did as she was asked. Eric then grabbed her purple loofa off the hook and put her favorite jasmine scented body wash on it. He drew small circles on her back with the loofa as he spoke.
“There are a few things that I would like to talk about with you Savannah. I know you have been busy with school and all, but there is some work that needs to be done around the house.” Eric paused for a moment to gather his thoughts. “It doesn’t just stop because you’re tired.” He continued washing her back, gently moving to her shoulders, he tenderly placing a kiss upon her collar bone. “I think it’s time that you took on more responsibilities around the house.”
Savi turned around to face Eric, sitting up, her full breasts completely exposed. “Wait, what’s that supposed to mean?”
Having a hard time concentrating with Savi’s breasts exposed, Eric backed himself away from the tub. “It means that our house is a pig sty, I can’t live like this anymore. I didn’t live in a dirty place before we were married, and I won’t do it now. You really need to start cleaning up after yourself.” Pointing to the bathroom floor, “Look at this Savannah, you have like two weeks’ worth of dirty clothing in here. I can’t even go to the bathroom without tripping over something you left around. I have tried to let it go, because you had your mom here helping, but I can’t take the filth anymore. It has to stop, you need to be more responsible.”
“Eric Matthews, how dare you ridicule me!” Savi yelled at him, and with that she splashed her bath water into his face, soaking his shirt.

We will save the action for another time.  I hope you enjoyed what I shared. And please remember that this is a blog hop and please check out these other amazing authors:

Missing

Sorry I have been missing from blog land for a while. The stomach flu hit our house and it hit hard! It got us all one by one didn't miss a soul.

On a better note, I decided to write a couple short stories staring Savi. I have one 98% done and another is running through my mind. So that is the project I currently have going on in my life.

So..... I have been watching my reviews on Taming the Preachers Daughter closely, as I like to see everyone's thoughts on my first baby. They have all been positive except one, and to be honest, it doesn't bother me too much, but it has got me thinking. My book is CDD and it does quote biblical text's that I see as relevant to a CDD relationship, something that I think is important. While most of you have not mentioned to be bothered by it one has, and even called my book scummy. Do you as my readers find my biblical references revolting? Would you prefer for me to omit the actual verses?

Please let me know what you think!
